Examples / 例句
比较: 今天比较冷,多穿点衣服。
It's relatively cold today — wear more. (no comparison target)
比: 今天比昨天冷多了。
Today is much colder than yesterday. (comparing two days)
Quick rule: 比较 = 'relatively' (standalone, no B needed). 比 = 'than' (must have A 比 B). Common error: ×今天比昨天比较冷 — don't use both together.
